One of the well known Ladies of your town has consented
jto act for Lewis Bros, & Co. as the mysterious Mrs. Winkims

She will appear in our store Wednesday afternoon, between the hours of One and
Five o'clock. She will carry an order on The Peoples Warehouse for the sum of
fifteen dollars. If you locate the lady, she will present you with the order which is
made payable to bearer. Then all you have to do is present the order in any of our departments and
secure fifteen dollars worth of merchandise free of charge.
Mrs. Winkims Will Enter Store Between the Hours of One
and Five o' Clock, Tomorrow, Wednesday.'
Mrs. Winkims has the privi
lege of entering the store either
through the basement, the back
door, front door, or through a
window. It is up to her to keep
from being caught. Lewis Bros.
& Co. have pulled off this little
bit of excitement, fun and am
usement in at least one hundred
towns and cities. Mrs. Winkims
was caught in every town, with
the exception of Minneapolis,
where she spent three hours in the c'cre and was

What You Must Do.
You must carry in your hand, a package l merchandise which was purchased in our
btore sometime during the day. You go up to each lady and say, "ARE YOU THE mys
terious mrs. winkims with the fifteen uollak order which is
GOOD AT THIS SALE FOR FREE MERCHANDISE." As you say this to her, touch her
ON THE RIGHT SHOULDER with your package. If it is Mrs. Winkims you get the or

every woman of Pendleton. The Mysterious Mrs. Winkims WILL RE CAUGHT by someone,
and that person may be you. It is at least worth your while to tako a chance, and at tho same
