Heart Failure Takes Man of 87.
Hood River, Or. William Over
baugh. a Columbia river pioneer, who
resided here for over 30 years, died
suddenly after a hearty breakfast. Mr.
Overbaugh was S7 years of age, and
after his morning meal walked out
from his home and fell dead. Death
was attributed to heart failure.

Survivor tif 20 Battles Dies.
Forest Grove, Or. Paul Jones
Ward, aged Cs years, died at his home
in this city Tuesday after a few weeks'

riil war and participated in nearly
evfiy battle of note in the Mississippi

and at the battles of Gettysburg.
Biack River Bridge, Vicksburg, and
Nashville, and altogether participated

ing the rebellion. He fought under
