Mrs. J. It. Klntr, formerly old resi
dents of Weston, but who nre now re
siding in I't'iitniliu, Wuali., arrived in

with hi daughter. Mrs. Joe Lleual
len. Mr. King is in nrreedingly poor
health but is reported to be some
hotter today.
Mrs. Wil'linni Prlskcll of Weston,
bus Kiiue to Dayton, Washington for
a short visit to her daughter, Mrs.
Ueorps Sowers of that place.
A son ws born April 13, to Mr.
and Mrs. Jas. Lieuallen on their
ranch a few miles southeast of Wes
ton. Mr. Lieuallen is now the hnppy
father of five prospective farmer

Mrs. Fred I'auly of Walla Walla,
was the nuest of Mrs. Geo. Proeb
stel, sr., during the week.
Mr. and Mrs. Iialph Lane and chil
dren, from Walla Walla. were in
Weston initiating their new auto Wed
nesday. Mr. Rexroail, a prominent black
smith, has leased Mr. H. IJeunllen's
shop and has taken possession. Mr.
Kexroad's family will occupy the J.
U. King residence on South Water
street.
Miss Kitty Oholson of Athena, was
in Weston visiting friends Sunday and
monday.
Mrs. Minnie Walker was in Helix
visiting friends during tho week.
Charles Cullej, who has been work
ing near Walla Walla, returned to
Weston Monday and will work for his
brother, S. J. Culley.
Mrs. Bert Marsh, who has been vis
iting relatives in Weston for the past
month, has gone to Portland to re
main for a time.
Miss lluby Taylor, who is In Walla
Walla for medical treatment, is re
ported to be a little better.
Andy Harnett was in Athena Wed
nesday on a business trip.
Great preparation is being made by
the students of the Weston high
school f,.r the track meet. The boys
are out running every evening and
the girls are preparing for the decla
matory, contest.
Mrs. 11. I. Cashatt and children of
Si'..k.oic, who have been visiting rel
ative h. r,. went to Walla Walla Fri
day to spend a few days there with

go on to Spokane.
A little excitement was in the smith

he has been laid up for a week or
