BATHER IS SAVED FROM DROWNING BY SWIMMER Malott, Wash. Jumping into the Okanogan river without shedding his clothes, Austin Warnick prevented a near tragedy Sunday, rescuing George J. Stewart, manager of the local townsite, who had slid off a sandbar into the water beyond his depth. The victim had sunk the third time, but fortunately had not taken in a great dial of water, and was fighting his way under the surface when brought to the air by young Warnick.
