dred pounds was paid for steers to
day; breaking for all previous times,
the high record for cattle In this mar

Only two loads of steers entered
the yards today and both were ship
ped by the same party., The second
load brought 16.90. - Considering the
weight, this price was fully as good
as the highest value.
'The , sale of sheep made late yes
terday afternoon was at 18.90, or the
highest price ever obtained here.
One load of hogs arrived In today,
but demand was not very brisk, and
It was some time before the sale was
made. Prices are generally unchang
ed, but are showing a tendency to
drop, In sympathy with the eastern
decline of the past few days.

A. L. Demarls shipped in two loads
of steers from Lowden, Wash., that
brought highest prices.
Kldwell & Caswell had in one load
of hogs from Haines, Ore., on today's
market.

field Mining company of record to
day. The disbursement will amount
to $105,000. making a total of $35,
