of age who secure the largest number of votes in the Pony contest.
Wo have made two divisions. The first outfit will go to the boy or girl under 15 years of age who secures the most votes in the city
of Pendleton. The second outfit, or Two Hundred Dollars in cash, will be given to the boy or girl who secures the most votes in the ''Out-of-Town"
division.
In this manner those in the country are not competing against the city, or vice versa.

The first thing to do is to become an enrolled contestant, and that is easy. .All you have to do is to get 1500 points, and the quickest way
is to get a year's subscription by carrier if you live in Pendleton, or one yearly and one six months' subscription to either paper by mail if liv
ing elsewhere. Or one year's subscription to the Daily and Sunday Journal by mail will give you 1500 votes. Any combination that will
give you 1500 votes, according to the following schedule will do.
