to Portland, Dan Kelly Is going back
to Baker City bock to the black
smith hop.

ever He has been having great trou
ble with his leg, during the past year,
nnd he will get nut of athletics for a
year upon the prediction of eastern
authorities that by so doing he will be
able to eipial If not excel his former

to help his father out now he is go
ing back to do it again. He will spend

Kellv stepped off No. 2 yesterday
and spied a friend at the depot. His

over. He will spend several days

insists that Hatfield Is the man.

was appealed and a new trial ordered

wrote the confession. Now the case
must be retried.
