where it Is organized.
Not only Is It established in our
larger cities, in most of which it has
well appointed buildings, but it Is al
so organized among men In our col

At Broklyn St Louis 2, Brooklyn ...ul..
has been accomplished by state ex

there are no associations, through
such means as holding special meet
Ings and classes for young men, In
troducing young men going to the
cities to responsible persons through
a system of correspondence, and pro
vlding a wholesome place of recrea
tion at military encampments.
in uregon ana Idaho there are
nearly 200,000 boys and young men,
a large percentage of whom are away
from home and subject to the temp
tatlons common to young men. The
association Is already established
among mem wnn a lour city, one
railroad, one county and 15 college
associations, with a total member
ship of over 4000. ,
There Is still a larger unoccupied
field, Involving 15 cities with 4000
population or over, most of which are
asking for associations; five railroad
division points, three or four counties
where It is feasible to organize., with
from 1000 to 2000 boys each; and a
score or more industrial centers
among lumbermen and miners.
mis work of extension and organ
ization Is entrusted to the state ex
ecutlve committee which also super
vises the associations already estab
lished and promotes other activities
at unorganized points as suggested In
the paragraph above. Experience
has proven that the co-operation of
the state committee Is absolutely es
sential to the successful establish
ment and operation of local assocla
tions.
This feature of association work Is
supported entirely by voluntary con-
tributions. A number of men
throughout both states are already
giving to. make It possible. Many
more, however, are needed to Join
with them, If we are to meet the de
mands indicated above. We want
you to have a share in this.
