Bolso Statesman; 5,OIH),0(lo Pound Wool. With about 5,000,000 pounds of wool already sold In the district from Halley to Wclser and about an equal amount yet to bo disposed of, the Wool market In Idaho Is very attrac tive. The buyers are ready to buy and the growers are ready to sell at the prevailing prices, and the wool Is Changing hands ns rapidly as It Is being clipped. The majority of the Wool Is selling from 1 8 1-2 to 20 cents, with nn average of 19 cents. A few sales have been made for a higher price than 20 cents, one of which was the sale of Governor Gooding's clip In tho. Wood river country for 21 cents. It Is reported that the lowest snle In the Wood riv er section was for 18 3-4 cents. ' "The growers and buyers are get ting together more readily on prices this year' than they have before for csome time,"- said a leading wool grower yesterday. , "The growers who held their wool over from last year lust by doing so ns the prices offered timing the latter part of the season were better than any that have been offered subsequently. Clarke, a rancher, 28 years old, residing at Waukon, Wash., slipped nn the rear steps of the first car, and, losing his hold on the railing, swung in between the first car and the trail er, and falling to the rails, was ground under the front wheels of tho forward trucks of the trailer and dragged a illstance of 16 feet before the train was stopped. After passing over the man's body at the hips the trailer was derailed and tore along the ground until a stop was made. Persons who saw the accident say that Clarke suffered excruciating ag ony, for ho cried out agonizingly, "For God's sake, boys, take me out of this; I believe I'm dying." People who were on the train and pedestrians ex tricated Clarke from his painful posi tion and he was taken to the Medical lake hotel and Dr. H. M. Page and a member of the Insane asylum staff were summoned. It was found that hcth thigh bones were broken, the legs twisted and mangled, and the body from the knees to the waist smashed to a pulp. The Injured man received medical aid and was then placed on board the train, but died before It reached the city. Spokesman-Review. Will Cure Consumption. A. A. Herron, Finch.
