Some very fine strawberries have been shipped In here from Umatilla lately and sold In the different stores, They are reported as being as fine as any Hood River berries that ever came Into the market The wheat crop in the Echo coun try Is beginning to head out in dlf ferent places, and It never looked better than It does at this time of the year. The recent rains have been a great benefit to crops of all kinds, Alfalfa will be cut In the course ol week, and some report that the first cutting will be made In some places the first of next week. Dies In California, George A. Young, a former well known resident of Weston, died May 13. 1907. at San Jose. Calif., after suffering for some montha from tu berculosis.
