After waiting 05 years for word from her son, who left home after a family quarrel, Mrs. Rebecca Levy, 100 years old, died at her home, 437 West Taylor streeet, Chicago, of a broken heart and advanced age. For the last two years the aged woman had been unable to leave her bed, but each day as the hour for the coming of the postman arrived she would send her daughter, Rose Levy, 61 years old, to ask It there was any message from her absent boy. Mrs. Levy waa born In Russia 100 years ago, and. lived there until she was 40 years of age. With her husband she moved to Scotland, where her daugh ter was born. In 18S7 they came to Chicago and settled on the West Side. Saloons and Messenger Boys. Under the new law It Is unlawful to send boys under 21 years of age to saloons with messages. Manager Hackett of the Western Union office took the matter up with the probate iudge and the probation officer. The latter thought It was entirely proper to send boys to the entrance of a saloon, but the manager did not hlnk so and It will not be done. Saloon men receiving messages will be noti fied and may call for them undess men are employed as messengers. It Is a great point gained for the boys. Boise Statesman. Notice to Onr Customers.
