The first work of the convention will be the election of a resident and clerk and It is con ceded that a Pendleton man will be chosen for presiding officer, but as to clerk of the convention, that is not much discussed. immcriiutelv after the election of officers and the appointment of com mittees on credentials and resolu tions a recess will be taken until af ternoon when the real business oi the convention will be transacted. The nrinclDal event of the sesion will be the election of three delegates to the head camp session oi mo w.tnrimen of the World which will be held in Seattle In July. There is a rivalry between Head Consul Boak and James A. Foley of Denver for the position of bead consul, but It is believed that Pendleton camp Is heartily In favor of the re-election of Boak and It Is probable that a delegation pledged to Boak will be elected Pendleton camp, which nas a membership of almost 600 and which is the largest camp In eastern Ore gon, Ma made ample arrangements for the entertainment of the dele gates who will attend. It Is thought there will be no difficulty In lodg ing the visitors In the hotels of the city, but should the crowd exceed ex nantatinn nrovislons Will be made to lodge the surplus In the homes of Peadleton, many of which nave ot tered accommodations. TnmnrrAV evening's entertainment has been elaborately planned and will be appropriate and to tne occa sion. At S o'clock an exhibition drill of three teams, one team of men from Pendleton camp and one team of girls, each, from Pendleton and Daphne circles of the Women of Woodcraft. This drill has been well rehearsed and promises to be Inter esting and beautiful.
