For the purpose of manufacturing dynamite, the first explosive factory In the territory will be built at Ju neau, Alaska, by the Imperial Pow der Manufacturing company, which was Incorporated at Olympla by Se attle and Juneau capitalists. The new concern has a capitaliza tion of 2100,000. It plans to build a plant at Juneau that will manufac ture from two to three tons of dyna mite a day. The factory will em ploy about 15 men. With a plant In Alaska, the enor mous freight charges now paid to steamship companies for explosives will be avoided. At the present time the bulk of the large quantities of dynamite used In the northern ter ritory, Is shipped from Seattle and San Francisco. As the concern will be able to get 60 per cent of the raw material needed In the manufacture of dynamite In Alaska, the saving In freight charges will be great. Be side the economy In this direction, the danger of blowgig up some of the best boats in the coast service will no longer be feared. Mohler Is Recovering. Chicago, Feb. 6.
