Braden said this morning thnt he will at once Issue Bi order requiring all Bchool children to show a certificate of vaccination before being allowed to attend school. Children who cannot show such a certificate from a practicing physi cian mUFt either be vaccinated or stay at home. "There are now five cases of small pox In the city," Bald Dr. Braden, "and there Is grave danger that It will spread." , The five cases are scnttered about the city and there has been consider able exposure from thorn so that the health officer thinks the situation Is grave enough to require school chil dren to be Isolated or vaccinated. The five cases of smallpox now In the city have been quarantine as thor ouKhly as possible, and every precau tion will be taken to prevent the spread of the disease. Last night the Pendleton camp or Woodmen held their regular Installa tion ceremony, the new officials being sworn In and the program given as previously announced, though with one or two changes. Lee Drake, re tiring consul commander, acted as In stalling officer. Owing to the ex- treme cold weather the attendance was not as large as anticipated.
