Death was the result of tu berculosis, with which the deceased had been suffering for some time. She was 64 years of nge and has been a resident of Pendleton for 15 years, having come here from Nebraska. Aside from her husband she leaves six children, as follows: Eugene, Har old and Rae McCulley; Mrs. Nina Hampton, of this city, and Mrs. Tlllc Bnker. of Portland. The funeral will be held tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock from the Con gregational church, the service being conducted by the pastor, Rev. C. H. Nellor. Grasshopper Scarce. According to reports from those who have gone over the ground thor oughly, grasshoppers are fewer In field nnd meadow than ever before.
