' nearly all diseases
have their beginning
in the disorder of
these most important
organs.
The kidneys filter
and purify the blood
that is their work.
Therefore, when vour kidneys are weak
or out of order, voii can understand how
quickly vour entire body is affected and
how every organ seems to fail to do its
duty.
If vou are sick or " feel badly," begin
taking the great kidney remedy, Dr.
Kilmer's Swamp-Root, because as soon
as vour kidnevs are well they will help
all'the other organs to health. A trial
will convince anyone.
If you are sick you can make no mis

Stone in Jail.
Oscar Stone, the man who came
here the early part of March with :
heavy beard, claiming to be a full
fledged lawyer, is now lodged In Jail
at Pendleton for having forged a
number of checks. Stone came to the
city with nothing but the clothes on
his back. He rented a small office,
borrowed a few law books, a stove and
chairs. He worked quite faithfully
and manager to secure a number of
bills from people for collection. Some
were collected, but the money has
never been seen by the owners. Be
fore leaving he owed a large number
of bills in the city, and when parties
tried to collect from him, he would
say that he was expecting a check on
most any train from his wife, who, he
claimed, was a high-class magazine
writer. It Is now believed that Stone
was playing a game all the way
through and that more things will be
brought to light against htm.
