The Lenore company will be incor porated in about 10 days. The Oro flno company has secured nearly as much land as the .Lenore company, but the latter concern expects to greatly Increase Its holdings. The Le nore company will probably also en ter the manufacturing business. Lewlston Teller. Toward Municipal Ownership. A resolution favoring municipal ownership of the water and light sys tems was adopted at the city council meeting tonight and the city engineer was instructed to .prepare plans and specifications giving the probable cost. McNeff Bros, closed two deals Sat urday for 160 bales of the 1905 hop crop for which they paid 8 cents in both Instances. . They bought the re mainder of the lot of Knox BrOB. of Tamplco, consisting of 60 bales, and also the lot of Herke Bros, of Tampl co, consisting ot 100 bales. As a result of these sales there re main In the hands ot the growers In this county but 600 bales of the 1905 crop. It Is said that all of the choice grades have been bought up, and the probabilities are that unless the mar ket shows a tendency to advance, the hops that are now In the hands of the growers will be closed out at a loss, or probably not sold at all. Yakima Republic. Completion by February 15 Next It is the announced Intention to have trains running from Elgin to Joseph within 10 months, providing laborers can be secured. The most of the grading between Joseph and the bridge can be done by local help and if men can be secured to do the rock work In the canyon, we see no reason why Joseph and Elgin should not be connected by rail within the specified time. Two carloads of rails for the Wat Iowa extension arrived In Elgin last week. Joseph Herald. ' Child Loses an Eye. .Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Blevlns, of Cove, are In the city this week. Benle, expressman. living at the corner of W. Tustln nnd Aura streets. Pendleton, Ore., says: "I hnve been troubled for the last four yea:s with a difficulty arising from . the kidneys, caused, I think, by heavy lifting, which my occupation required. When I stooped, lifted and when straightening up my hack would hurt severely. Tito kidney secretions were Irregular, contained n reddish sedi ment and annoyed me greatly at night when I would hnve to get up several times. I decided do try Doan's Kid ney Tills which I learned nhout nt that time, and procured a box at Brock & McComns Co.'s drug store. The relief was quick and certain, and now nfter tho Inpse of nearly three years my continued freedom from the old trouble gives me the hliihest con fidence In Doan's Kidney Pills. Such benefit as I received can only bo ap preciated by those who have suffered from backache and kidney com plaint." For salo by all dealers. Price 60 cents.
