"Options are being takon on every foot of timber that can be had from Kendrlck to the headwaters of Pot latch river," said a timber man to the Tribune correspondent today. Prices hnve advanced as a result of the demand until more than $1 per loon stumpage Is being paid. This movement on the part of the compa nies to take up the timber directly tributary to the Potlatch-la looked upon as Indicating some move at an early 'dale by some of the companies to cstubllsh a mill near Kendrlck. It Is known here that one sawmill com pany has taken an option on the Bar ney Riley site along the Pollatch and are trying to secure the right of way to Kendrlck now. Lewlston Tribune (Kendrlck Cor.) Many of the flocks of sheep owned by Utah and Nevada sheepmen are now on the way to Idaho and the bal ance, will be started within a short time; says the Salt Lake Herald. This movement Is the result of the recent decision of Judge Beatty, of the United States district court of Idaho, providing the sheep were not affected by disease. It Is stated that some of the sheep have been found to be infected with scnbles. ,. . These will be subjected to the reg uiatloiiF prescribed by the Idaho au thorlties. Judge Corn, .Attorney James H. It Is said that a minority report will be pre sented. It Is expected thnt Dis. Rowe nnd Mclllrney will render a report favor able on the rules for dipping sheep, and Pr. Noble will sign objections.
