Will Adjudicate Water Rights.
The Welser Irrigation district has
brought an action In the district court
to adjudicate the water rights of the
entire Welser valley, the same as has
recently been done In other portions
of the state within .the past year or
two. The suit Involves the water
rights -of the Council valley, as well
as those of the lower end of the coun
ty. Until now there has never been a
shortage of water In this valley, and
no alarm Is felt here anyway, as the
water rights here are deemed su-?
perlor to those of the Welser Irriga
tion district, which Is bringing the ac
tion, li is not (bought that the de
cision will seriously affect the .rights
in the Council valley. Council Ad
