The Boise station will be equipped with a larger machine than other northwest stations will have. The Denver station will be able to send messages to any point on either the Atlantic or Pacific coast. Within a very short time trans-Atlantic as well as trans-Paclflc communication will be had. As fast as the larger towns are covered stations will be put In the smaller points so that the country will be entirely covered by the DeForest wireless system. Mr. Slgafoos said he would remain In the city four or five days, nnd ex pected to receive notice of the ship ment of the Boise Instruments. He will look over other towns and return here later to Install the Boise plant Mr. Pfclffer, the affable representa tive of the company, who has been here several weeks, will remain until the new station is fully Installed. He has been selling stock and bonds, but has about reached the limit of his assignments for this section. He Is trying to secure more bonds, but up to the present time, has not met with any encouragement. Stations now In operation Include many far-off points, such as Nome, St Michaels, Rio de Janeiro, Bocas del Toro, Montreal, Porto Rico, Colon, Key West and several others. . Proctor, of Atlanta, Ga., a Flsk alumnus, will give a review of the work which Flsk university has done for the colored race during the 40 years of Its exis tence. Booker T. Washington will al ro deliver an address. Tomorrow morning the Rey, A. 8. Beard, of New York will deliver a lecture. Addresses will also be delivered by Chancellor J. H. Klrkland, of Vanderbllt univer slty; Dr. George W. Hubbard, dean of Mnharry Medical college, and Prof. H, A. Vance, of Peabody college. Nearly the entire amount needed for the Tlsk Scientific schol has been raised. When the entire amount has been raised, the Slater fund will sub scribe an annual endowment of $5000 for line maintenance of .the school The proposed school will be located In a brick building to be erected near the -main structure of the university Andrew Carnegie has offered $20,000 for m library, provided an equal amount should be raised by subscrip tion. First Shipment of Joe Arrives. Six cars of Ice arrived from North Powder today for the O. R. A N. ice houses In this city. This Is the first shipment to arrive here, although the harvest has been in progress at North Powder for over a month. It will re quire 600 tons to fill the .houses here.
