FIRST SKKSIO.V TONIGHT. If Camus Agreement Is Sustained, Klnsella Will ITohunly Re Marshal. Tonight the new city council will meet for the first time, and the ses sion promises to be an Interesting one because of the selection of a marshal and other city officers. Throughout the day It has been ap' parent that an effort was being made to have the council break away from the decision on the marshalshlp which was reached In the caucus last Friday night. As the vote at that time stood four In favor of P. S. Klnsella and three for Bert Wilson, but one mem ber would have to change In order to elect the latter. Ir lew"of this fact. Councilman McCormmach has been strongly urged to turn to Wilson. At the opening of the recent caucus he Is said to have favored Marshal Coff man and to have changed to Klnsella when the present Incumbent failed to muster enough strength to be re-elected. However, It Is said that when the recent caucus was held It was agreed by the members to abide by the decision then reached. In view of this It would seem there Is little possibility of any other man than Klnsella being selected. A to City Attorney. When the recent resolution order ing the macadamising of East Court street was passed by the council, the block between Vincent and Mill streets was left out of the district to be improved. From Main street o-it to Vincent, Court street Is 80 feet wide, and from there on to the city limits It is but 60. Also, It was desired to leave a parking on each side of the street from Vincent street on, ex cept In the block between Vincent and Mill, which is owned by W. S. Byers. However, in the two resolu tions passed the above block was left out entirely. As a result, there has been some dissatisfaction among other residents of the street, who feared that the Byers block was to be left unimproved. However, It Is said another resolu tion Is to bo passed ordering the Im provement of the block mentioned, and that no remonstrance will be made by Mr. Byers. Tolls Seem to Re Cloning Around M. Hogan was In Boise early In Octo ber, attempting to sell a non-freezing powder. He went to Halley for the same purpose, advertising that as a business In various mining towns. Five men besides Hogan are In the Caldwell Jail charged with the crime, Two are Campbell and Warren, arrest ed at Connell yesterday. Helpless women and children, as well as oppos ing soldiers, meet the same fate, and a trail of desolation, suffering and death is left behind. Contagious Blood Poison is the black flag of the great army of disease. This vile disorder is known as the blackest and most hide ous of all human afflictions, overthrowing its victims and crushing out tha life. It is no respecter of persons ; no matter how pure the blood may b or how innocently the disease is contracted, when this awful virus enters tha circulation the hideous, hateful and humiliating symptoms begin to appear, and the sufferer feels that his very presence is polluting and contaminating. Usually the first sign of the disease is a little sore or ulcer, but as the blood becomes more deeply poisoned the severer symptoms are manifested, tha mouth and throat ulcerate, the glands in the groins swell, a red rash breaks out on the body, the hair and eyebrows come out, and often the body is cov ered with copper-colored spots, pustular eruptions and sores. In its worst stages the disease affects the nerves, attacks the bones and sometimes caus tumors to form on the brain, produc ing insanity and death. Not only those who contract the poison suffer, but unless the virus is driven from the blood the awful taint is handed down to offspring, and they are its innocent victims. Blood Poison is in deed a "black flag." Mercury and Potash, so often used, never can cure the trouble. These minerals merely drive the symptoms away for awhile and shut the disease up in the system, and when they are left off it returns worse than before. This treatment not only fails to cure blood poison but eats out the delicate linine of the stomach and bowels, produces chronic dyspepsia, loosens the teeth and It quently causes mercurial rheumatism to add to the patient's su Serin S. ADAM 8CHN ABEL, EvansviUe, Ind. Mo. Sll Mary 8 rv t9o Corn Cob "Maple" Syrup. Just a few yeara ago even the city people used cobs for Btartlng fires. Every day at this season of the year farmers were on the streets selling good, big wagon loads at 31 per load. Have you noticed how scarce cobs are this fall? You occasionally see a man on the street with a dollar load of cobs, but when you make a deal with him you find that the "good, big" has been eliminated. The Topeka Capital explains why this change has taken place. It Is all because people like cob Juice on pancakes. The cobs that .used to come to town and sell for kindling now go to Kansas City and cities farther east and come back In a highly decorated can labeled "Maple" syrup. Ten carloads of cobs went from Ottawa to Kansas City the other day to be made up Into "maple" syrup. Kansas City Star. Installed New Motor.
