The examina tion was an unusually hard one for them, and the completion of the ex amining board's work shows that nearly 50 per cent of those wno tooa the examination nave ruuea 10 yuan. ri,o nf the worst features oi me whole affair Is the fact that there is no redress for the rejected teachers, for they cannot be given permits to teach by the county superintendent. While teachers may always be found to accept positions. It Is often very hard to secure compe tent ones at this time of the year.
