Deputy Game and Fish Warden Joe Nolf. has been instructed by Game Warden Baker, to begin a vigorous campaign on violators of the gome laws, after the legislature adjourns, when It can be seen what changes are made In the present laws. It is the intention or Mr. Nolf to prose cute everybody found shooting mead ow larks and robins, as mere is u law against the slaughter of these birds. His territory extends over all the Eastern Oregon counties and he I will leave for the district east of the mountains, soon after the legislature adjourns. Irucst Niimlier of Prisoners. D. W. AckKy. warden of the peni tentiary, has filed his report of the number of prisoners in the institu tion for the month of January. There were 168 prisoners In the Institution at the beginning of the montn. teerf prisoners were received during the month and one was discharged, leaving 180 in the Institution at the close of the month.
