No little comment has been created in Catholic circles by the appeal Issued by Mgr. Falconlo to the hierarchy of the United States, telling them that the pope now relies on the Catholics of America for financial ad. It is the first time In the history of the church that such an appeal has been made. "I regret to state," says Mgr. Fal conio In his appeal, "that notwith standing the generous response of the American people the financial condi tion of the Holy See Is far from being prosperous or satisfactory. In her frenzied efforts to save her babe, she snatched the burn lng clothing from Its body, receiving Dalnful burns about the hands and arms from which it will take weeks to recover.
