WOOLGROWER8 ALARMED. ldalio Association Threatened Willi Disruption Over Two-mile Limit Law. ) The woolgrowers of Idaho met In convention at Pocatello some time ago and proceeded to get badly mixed up on the two-mile limit law, says the Caldwell Tribune. The report gained currency that the convention had given up the fight against the law. ThlB was Immedi ately denied by the secretary of the association. The woolgrowers of Boise. Canyon and Owyhee counties started an Investigation, and after In terviewing the officers of the associ ation, decided that they would call a meeting to take a stand on the prop osition one way or another. Consequently Sam Ballantyne, pres ident, and C. S. Dean, secretary and treusurer of the local organization, after talking with members Issued a call for the meeting which will be held In Caldwell, January 18, lu speaking with a prominent Canyon county woolgrower, we learn that the sheepmen of Boise, Canyon and Ada will withdraw from the state organization if it proposes to give up the fight against the two-mile limit law. This sheepman said that the two mile limit law was one of the chief reasons for the existence of the Idaho Woolgrowers' association. , If the fight on this law was given up. the organization might as well disband. We give below the calf for the meet ing us Issued by the Boise, Canyon and Owyhee Counties Woolgrowers' association: y Caldwell, Idaho,: Junuary 3, 1905. To the members of the Boise, Canyon and Owyhee Counties Woolgrowers' association : We feel that our industry has been greatly jeopardized by the action of the Idaho Woolgrowers association, in dropping the fight on the two-mile limit law. The time for action on our nart has come: something must be done for our own mutual protection against this nefarious law, and for the purpose of carrying out the same, and testing the validity of the abovs law, nnd pushing It to the highest tri bunal in ths land; we have ordered that a meeting of all sheepmen In terested in the safety of their busi ness, be held here at Caldwell, Jan uary lUn, 10 ....CUTLERY...
