made in the effort to clear Chicago
of Its numerous "fake" medicine con
cerns have thrown light upon the
death of President McKlnley and re
vealed the charge thai the death of
the president was. In part, due to the
use of a spurious medicine. Thirty
one plants were raided and drugs
worth $60,000 seized.
The startling revelation was made
after four great establishments en
gaged In manufacturing Imitations of
standard medicines had been raided
by the postoffice department, co
operating with the police.
After the arrest of half a dozen
I persons and the raiding of the four
I establishments. Assistant Postoffice
