Sheep Firm Quits.
A deal wag consummated Inst week
resulting In the transfer of about 6,
700 head of sheep belonging to the
well known firm of Allen & Lafallett,
James Vestal of Big Timber, Mont.,
being the purchaser.
This sale of sheep leaves the firm
of Allen Lafallett with a large
amount of grating land, which will
be disposed of later, whn opportuni
ty offers.
The retirement of Allen & Lafal
lett from active business as a sheep
firm mnrks the passing of one of
Crook county's most popular firms.

Possible That They Hold Ralnnce of
Power In Four States.
Washington, D. C, Nov. 8. An in
teresting feature of today's national
election und one, the importance of
which Is not generally appreciated. Is
the part played by the women voters
In the four states where they exercise
the full rights of suffrage. These
states are Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho
and Utah. The registration of wom
en voters in these states amounted
to about 100,000 a number easily
sufficient to turn the tide of battle
toward either political party.
The labor troubles In Colorado and
the Mormon question which Is agitat
ing Utah, Wyoming and Idaho, are
the two Issues In which the women
voters have taken keen Interest and
which are expected to bring out a
much larger feminine vote than at any
previous election since omen were
granted the franchise. The result iB
eagerly awaited at the headquarters
in the city of the Nutlonal American
Woman Suffrage Association.
