almost Illegible note was found on his
bed, reading as follows:
I "Oood-by to all. Tell the undertak
er to bury me on thnt lot In the
Wagner creek graveyard, If anyone
knows where It Is; If not, any old
place will do. Oood-by to all. You
will find the money hi my pocket at
the head of my bed."
.Seventy dollars wns found in the
designated place. Itobhisou, who had
lost one leg, had been despondent for
some time, and had repeatedly threat
ened to make uwny with himself.
He wns born In Ohio In 1S34, and
crossed the plains to the Willamette
valley In the 'GOs, settling later In
Jackson county, lit- was at one time
well-to-do, but had lost neurly every
thing. He Is survived by three sons
and one daughter.

of the project. "The farther you get
from Spuknne the easier the Hue will
be of construction and the greater
profit there will bo in Its operation,"

"The only large piece of bridge
work will be at Rock Creek. The
creek Is 300 feet deep and the length
of trestle required will depend upon
the amount ot cut made on either
side of the canyon. The bourse of the
road Is entirely unknown as yet. but
It wilt bo built where the greatest
traffic will bo available and most as
sistance Is offorod by the farmers.

tion. My report on the project will
be favorable, and I see no reuson why
It should not be liullt very soon."
