Can't Contaminate Water.
"The practice of dumping rofus.e
and turning In dirty water In Mill
creek Is having a bad effect on tho
fish," said Game AVarden Morse to
day, "nnd ir It Is not stopped I will
be. forced to take Immediate steps to
prosecute the offenders. Almost overy
day complaints come to me that peo
ple residing along the str.eam in the
city limits are dumping trash and
other refuse In tho stream, which not
only will breed disease, but will be the
means, of killing all the trout In the
crook. Many people are using the
stream as a sower and tno waters are
becoming contaminated. I have noti
fied Beveral parties of tho law regard
'ing this matter nnd unless they stop
tho present practice I will bo forced
to cause the arrest of a number of
people." Walla Walla Statesman.
To Dredge the Snake.
Captain Harry Daughman, who has
been In charge of tho construction of
the steamer "Mountain Gem," has re
signed his position and left yesterday
morning for Hiparla, where he will
enter the employ of tho government
ns nn Inspector, until the big dredger
that will be built at this point to work
on the upper Snake river is comnlet
el says the Lewlston Teller. It Is
understood that Captain Baughman
will be master of the dredger when
completed, which Insures that when
the ctredge Is placed In operation that
the river will be cleared of obstruc

Your request for a reference about
"TRIB" received and will give you
the words of praise that your treat
ment deserves, and that is much. My
son was a hard drinker and tobacco
user for 20 years and has taken many
advertised cures for both liquor and
tobacco, but never stayed with It
longer -than one month at any time
until I got "TRIB" for him. He took
"TRIB" about 10 months ago and has
not used either since the fourth day
he commenced to take your treat
ment. He has gained 20 pounds and
is home with me every night he Is In
town. You may use my name to tell
people that "TRIB" Is all you claim
of It. Yours truly,
MRS, JAMES S. WATSON.
