R. & N. yards and will go to St. Paul and Minneapolis after an outing at Lehman Springs. Mrs. Morgan Schrack, who has been 111 at St. Anthony's hospital for the past 10 days, Is much Improved nnd will leave her room tomorrow. W, B. Montgomery, district manager of the Continental Casualty Company, of Portland, Is at the St. George to day, while on a tour of the O. II. & N. system. Miss Myrtltt Hawkes Is again on duty at Nolf's book store, after an absence of nearly a year. During the school months she attended Whitman College. Tall Thompson, the Insurance ad juster, returned to Portlaiu. this morn ing, after adjusting the loss to the Siddous house and contents, satis factorily to all concerned. Ellsha Estabrook, who Is taking his vacation making bicycle trips across country, was In Lewiston when last hoard from, and Is supposed to be on his way home at this time. Presiding Elder C. E. Gibson was In town yesterday en route from Walla Wf.lh. to that portion of his district lying in Wallowa and Union counties, and through which he will hold quar tet ly meetings during the next month. The Howard brothers, W. C. and P. M., went to Echo this morning to do Insurance business. Their sister-in-law, Miss Bertha Adkius, went by the same train to Heppner, whero she will remain for the balance of the summer. Rev. J. R. N. Bell, pastor ot tho Presbyterian church of Baker City, and chaplain of the grand lodge of Oregon Masons, accompanied by his family, passed down the O. It. & N. this morning to Portland and Oregon City, .where they will enjoy an outing and attend the meeting of the Oregon Chautauqua at Gladstone Park. Notice to Water Consumers.
