backed by tho Northern Pacific

pany are Walter N. Granger, general
manager of tho Washington Irrigation
Company, and George P. Eaton, of
Zillah: Morris Sisk, of Liberty: S. J.
Harrison, C. E. Woods and Norman
Wood In, of Sunnysldo; H. F. Gloyd
and F. I;. Pitman, of Pressor, and A.
B. Flint, of Outlook. Tho new or
ganization Is called the Sunnysldo
Railway Company and Is formed as
a result of the sugar beet ngltntlou

The beet sugar factory being pro
moted at Prosser by M. U Causey,
of I.a Grnnde, Is now n certainly nnd
this road Is designed to carry the
beets from the principal beet belt in
tho Sunnysldo district to the factory.
Tho road will bo built by tho farm
ers of the district, each man taking
stock lielng required to subscribe nn
amount equal to $5 per acre on his
land. The Northern Pacific Railroad
Company has guaranteed to float
bonds sufllclcnt to furnish the track,
bridges and equipment, which assures
tho enrly construction of tho rond.
The Northern Pacific will also fur
nish terminal facilities and tho rolling
stock will bo kept in repair by that
company.
One remarkable feature of tho en
terprise is thnt a largo -settlement of
Dunkards headed by Rev. I). J. Har
rison, is taking an nctlvo interest in
promoting tho culturo of sugar beets
and Is also foremost in pushing the
new railroad. The colony of Dunk
ards near Sunnysldo is ono or tho
largest in the West nnd they ore
highly Industrious, progressive and
enterprising people.
The land In tho SunnyRldc district
is rich, sandy soil, resembling the
Echo soil and is especially adapted
to sugar beet culture and tho assur
ance of tho factory at Prosser will
