Lyman Leaves for St. Louis Exposition. H. S. Lyman, of Astoria, commis sioner from Oregon to the St. Louis fair, passed through Pendleton Sun day morning In charge of the Ore gon educational exhibit to that fair. The exhibit consist of 300 volumes of manuscript. 2,000 drawings, 200 maps and hundreds of special feat ures, among which are specimens of needlework, polished wood work, outline and skeleton charts of Ore gon's topography and geography. Prof. Lyman expects to take sev eral first premiums as the different grades of public school work in the exhibit are especially well executed. Tragedy Averted.
