During the recent raise of wheat many of ihe Athena farmers sold their large crops, getting from 05 to 71 cents. French Chrigler sold his bluestem for 75 cents per bushel, tie had about 1,0m) bushels. New City Officials. The annual city election was held in this city Tuesday, March 2, and olficers were elected as follows; David Taylor, mayor; councllmen, G. W. Gross, C. A. Barrett,. T. J. KlrK. A. B. Stone and T. O. uogers; treas urer, David Williams; recorder, O G. Chamberlain. Excavating for New Buildings. .Milt Bush has the contract to ex cavate the cellar for the now brick for Mrs. Slahl of Walla Walla. Joe Banister has the contract to dig the cellar under the new brick bank for C. A. Barrett, and has a large force of men at work. The photograph gallery is being moved off the Barrett property, to the third street east of the depot, south of the St. Nicholas hotel, to make room for the now brick. More Rheumatic Cures.
