The Oregon Livestock association held a meeting yesterday In tho Hamilton building with about 30 members present from I all parts of the state to discuss the livestock show nt the Lewis and t Clark fair. , Henry W. Goode, director general of the exposition, stated before the nsscmbled members of the nssorla- ( tlon that the board of directors 01 . the exposition would give cash awards for the best stock exhibited. , instead of tho gold and silver medals I they bad previously decided upon, for they consider tlint a better grade j of stock will be shown if good cash , prizes are awarded.
