The Oolconda mine this month has shipped over 300,000 pounds of concentrates to the smelter. This production of ore Ib outside that handled at the mill, which Is kopt constantly crushing high grade rock. The North Pole and Columbia, and the E. & E. and Taber Fraction are also shipping ore. The first two named send concentrates, while the latter two are shipping very rich rock from the new workings just opened up. The clean-up from the Columbia was taken down to Haker City last week and it is estimated at $40,000. The Alamo mill is completed and ready to start up. The flume is al most finished and ns soon as this Is connected up mill operations will commence. It is expected that within two weeks the stamps will be diop plng. Theie are over 3,000 feet of underground work (lone In the Alamo and lurge bodies of ore are blocked out for milling. Athena, Nov. 26. Barrett will build a new bank on the lots at the corner of Fourth and Main streets, this being tho fourth brick Mr. Barrett has built in the city. Mrs, .1. h. Stahl, who recently pur chased the La Fave, will put up a new brick on Third street. The build ing Is to have a fifty-foot frontage. She will commence In the spring.
