ONE WAY OUT.
A Resident of Pendleton Shows the
Way.
Only one way to cure a bad back.
Liniments and plasters may relieve
it.
'They wou't cure it.
Hackncho means sick kidneys.
Doan's Kidney Pills euro all kidney
ills.
Pendleton people prove this.
Head u ease of It:
Mrs. J. Brynk, who lives on Star
street, says; "Doan's Kidney Pills arc
a grand medicino, as I Know irom ex
perience, and I have no hesitation in
saying that any sufferer from back
ache or other kidney troubles who
will give them a fair trial, will bo more
than well satisfied with the results.
I suffered from threo or four years
with sharp pains in my back which
became aeuto when I attempted to
bend over, or to lift auythlng. Be
sides, I hud rheumatism or lumbago
in my left arm so bad that I could not
raise it above my shoulder without
assistance from my left hand. I saw
Doan's Kidney Pills advertised and
got a box at tho Krock & McComas
Co. drug store. When I had used
three boxes tho backaoho had van
ished and with it tho rheumatic pains
through my arms."
For sale by all dealers. Price 50
cents per box. Foster-Milburn Co.,

REGULAR REPORTS OF

Interesting Outline of provisions of
the New Law All Contagious and

For n long tlmo tho state board of
health has been held up In its efforts
to systematize the vital statistics of
tho state, by tho tardiness of tho

will now go on as fast as the arrange

According to tho rules of tho stato
lnnnl nvnrv llirtli nnd evol'v llcath
must bo recorded by the doctor at

track can he kept of the vital statis
tic of the whole stato. In the case
of death the same ntle holds good.
By tho law it is In tho power of tho
county physic-inn to deputize any and
all persons following the undertaking
business and selling caskets, as dep
uty health ofllccrs, and It will be their
power in remote districts to issue
burial permits on the cortiticnte of
the doctor attending the case, or of
a house holder who Is familiar witli
the case. This Is done to .do away
with the inconvenience and delay that
would ensue if the parties had to
como to the county scat, or the resi
dence of the county physician, from
i.. nria nf ihn -niiutv in order
to obtain permission to bury a person
in case of death.
Another thing that will be watched
is thn importation of
contagious, or infectious disease into
the state by any common carnei mm
the railroads and steamship linos.
I)y tho rules of the law it is permissi
ble for tho health officer to detain
nnd quarantine any common carrier
.t.ot oimii imvp on board a case of
contagious disease, and to hold them
in quarantine until me uangur n i"i
disease has heeu passed. II can make
the carriers fumlgutu their vehicles,
and the expense will be borne by tho
carriers.
The state boaul has been wuiting
on the state printer since the first of
May but now as the work has been
done no time will bo lost in getting
the machinery of the law into cneci.
Uv the first of the coming montn
It will be required of all doctors to
miiko full report to the county board
of health, consisting of the county
judge and the county physician, not
ing all cases of contagious illness,
and all births and deaths. It is also
part of the law that all marriages and
divorces aie to be noted at the same
time. The county board will then re
port to the stato board, and in tills
wav a complete record will he kept.
Tho blanks for this county came
several days ago, and the county
board Is now mulling to the doctors
of the county their share.
What Is Life?
In the last analysis nobody knows,
but we do know that It is under strict
law. Abuse tho law even slightly,
pain results. Iriegular living means
derangements of the organs, result
ing in constipation, headaeho or liver
trouble. Dr. King's Now Life P Us
quickly readjusts this. It's gentle,
yet thorough. Only 25c at Tullmiwi
