Walla Walla Firm Doing the Work Old Plant Never Gave Satlsfac tlon Changes Will Result In a Great Saving of Fuel. C. Joy and several assistants, are busy at the courthouse remodeling the heating system. Tho men arc the representatives of the George H. Sutherland Company, of Walla Walla, and have just finished the work at tho Hotel Pendleton, where they have been engaged for some time in puttlne In a new steam nlant and pipes for the beating of that notei. The heating plant at the court house has never given satisfaction since It was Installed, and hns been more of a nuisance than a benefit. for tho reason that only one or two of the rooms In the house could be warmed by tho furnace. lt-Jias been found necessary to remodel the whole system In order to got any work out of tho plant, for tho old system is so constructed that it can not be changed in part. It Is now the intention of those who have the oversight of the change, to sec that It Is thorough, and that when it Is done the house can bo warmed from top to bottom. The changes will cost soveral hundred dollars, but will pay for themselves In a short time, for It is much cheaper to heat tho building with one big fire In the basement lurnncc than with a small (Ire In every room In the house.
