One of our patients recently said: I never felt so well In my life; I am o wonder to myself!" Send to us for booklet. ' The recent explosion of two loco motive boilers on the Cheyenne dlvls ion of the Union Puellle onuses rail road men to wonder IC the compound engines now being received by the Union Pacific are poorly construct ed, or whether the two explosions within 10 days on the same clnss and liinlie of engine are purely accidontnl. Engines 15K1 and 1512, Hnldwln compounds, exploded their hollers i the same week nenr Cheyenne, and us a result 20 firemen working out of Cheyenne quit their Jobs In fear of further casuulitles, The compound engines In use on the mountain division of the O. It. & N. have been put to the most thor ough tests and have stood the strain. They enrry 200 pounds of steam con stantly, wlille working and often In tlii- niHh of business are given just as slight repairs as possible In order to keep them moving, and not the faintest evidence of poorly-constructed hollers 1ms over yet been shown. The explosion of two of the com pound boilers on the Union I'aclllc in one week, seems to be purely ac cidental. The compounds in use here are the same mnke and class as those In use on the Cheyenne division and for over n yenr the ."Kins and -100s ; here have been In the harness night I and day. with no signs of weak holl- rs. The water at places in Wyoming Is very destructive on boilers and eats awaj the iron rapidly. This may ac count for the accidents to these en gines. Since the O. It. & N'. has been In operation, a locomotive boiler explos ion has not marred the record. All kinds and classes of engines have been in use and at times tW'y have been worked unmercifully hard to keep trafflc moving but no boiler has ever yet failed to carry her pressure J under all circuuistances. One blessing on the O. It. & N' I which is not enjoyed by many other Western roads is an excellent finali ty of water at all points along the line. With the exception of the supply at Durkee. 20 miles west of Hunting ton, which contains more or less al kali, the system can boast of an ex cellent quality of water. This Is a great saving on the strength and on ilurance of locomotive boilers and tho lack of gooil water on the Union Pa cific may he responsible for the acci dents. The enginemen on the O. K. & N. are not in the least agitated over the happenings on the Union Pacific and feel thnt tho engines furnished by the company nre as safe as any in the United States. Bids Wanted.
