The Wheat Trade.
Portland, July 2. There ts noth
ing dolnK in the wheat markets of tho
Northwest. What little wheal re
mains In the country warehouses will
hardly suffice for the mills ttntll new
wheat comes to bo marketed. Millers
are tho only ones In the market nl
present for wheat and n very few of
them only, ns most of the -large ex
port mills have provided themselves
ahead for the next 30 dnys. Crop rc
l)rts are a little better than a week
ago. as most of the districts In tho
wheat belt have had rain during the
week. Whether the same has been
beneficial to all imlnts time alone will
tell. Tho outlook at the present writ
Ing is that the crop will only be about
75 per cent of that of year ago.
Club Is quoted at 75 and 7Cc, blue
stem. 7Se and vnlloy 77c Hr bushel.
Flour The market for flour shows
very llttlo change. There are plent
or buyers, but their ofTers nro too
low considering that millers have to
pay n good premium for wheat. Dur
ing tho close of last week eonsldera
bio flour went to .In pun from t'uget

'San Francisco Markets,

shlpplnc qualities milling $1.45 to
$1.50 per cental.
Barley Tho barley market Is some
what firmer, although receipts for
new are small. Quotations for -now
range from $1.05 to $1.10 pet- cental
for feed. As to brewing, market Is
very firm and prireb range from $1.10
to $1.15 per cental.
Mlltstims Feed of all kinds Is
quite firm and there Is a very good
demand. The demand Is not only
from coastwise points, but all over
tho Interior. Willi all the firmness
displayed, prices hnve made no
change and bran or shortH are quot

at $2r,.r,u per ton.
