Trifa Notice Trib
Tho people ot Pendleton are re
upectfully asked to fully investigate
Trlu the world's greatest cure for the
liquor and tobacco habits, and to any
one In need of a cure we say truth
fully, Trlb Is an honest, positive cure.
You do not use Trlb In your coffee;
you can't give It that way; but be
sensible and take It for either of
these habits the same as you would
a remedy for any other disease. Here
lt u reference from a man well Known
In Pendleton. Read it. We have
many more.
j. W, Daugherty writes on May 14,
1SU3: To whom it may concern:
I wish to say I completed a cure wltn
Trlb in February, and have had no
desire to drink since. It will also cure
the tobacco habit. I had a harder
time to learn to smoke after talcing
Trlb than when I first learned to
smoke. I am quite well known in
Baker City, La Grande, Sumpter and
Pendleton and anyone wishing to stop
using either liquor or tobacco I would
recommend them to take Trlb.
Price $12.50. For sale by all druggists.

FEW AND SLIGHT CHANGES
NOTED IN LOCAL MARKETS.
Fruit Market Is Variable, as the Kind
of Product Varies With Develop
ment of Season Good Butter Has
Advanced Potatoes Climbing, and
Onions Out of the Market.
There are but few changes in the
local market and those do not amount
10 mucn. The trend of the prices
are downward on those thlncs which
are nearlng tho last end ot their
jieia and aro now at the height of
their productiveness. The Hood
River strawberry still holds its own
at 10 cents a box straight, while the
Walla Walla variety has fallen to 10
cents for one, or 25 cents for three
boxes.
Cherries have come in the market
and aro selling at from eight to ten
cents the box. Tho Royal Ann cherry
Is worth 10 cents for each and every
box. but the common pie cherry can
be bought for three boxes for a quar
ter.
Onions are out of the market and
will be until the new crop has been
harvested, though the young onion Is
still with us and will be for some
time yet.
Butter has taken a Jump with the
temperature and can now bo bought
by the roll for 40 and 50 cents for the
Rllt-edged product. There is butter
in- the market that can be bought
cheaper than that flguro, but It Is not
tho kind that would suit tho palate of
an epicure.
Potatoes are also climbing and are
now quoted at 90 cents to $1 per
hundred for the best that tho market
affords. Everything else Is at the
same stage that It was last week.

The Wheat Trade.
Portland, June IS. There Is noth
Ing doing In the local wheat trade.
Exporters are paying more attention
to tho growing crops than to buying
wheat at present. For a time Inst
week It looked as If wo were to re
ceive a decided setback on account
ot the hot winds and lack ot rain,
but the splendid rains of tho latter
part of the week, that were quite
general throughout tho wheat belt,
were timely. In some parts tho rain
came Just In the nick ot time, as n
few days more of dry, hot weather
would have caused serious loss.
There Is no doubt that crops were
benefited fully 50 per cent. Quota
tions are without change nnd 75c Is
offered for club with two cents moro
for blue stem, and 76c per bushel for
valley.
Flour Market is somewhat firmer
the past week as offors aro coming In
quite freely or early loading nnd this
month and a good part ot next month
will be record-breakers In the way ot
shipments to tho Orient, mostly to
Japan, where all the demand nt pres
ent exists. There is some call from
Central and South American ports,
as the last steamer from Tacoma took
quite a good-sized cargo to that part
of tho globe. .Millers nre having some
trouble In securing suitable parcels
ot wheat for grinding, ns stocks aro
becoming very low, nnd those that
have any for nale demand more money
than the samo Is worth, ns prices of
Hour have not advanced In tho stuno
proportion as wheat. Quotntious are
without change nnd tango from $3.75
to $4.25 per barrel.
MlllstulTs Supplies nro scarce nnd
only enough Hock on hiind to meet
dnlly requirements. Wo quote bran
and shorts at $22.50 per ton.
Barley Nothing doing, market dull.
A vessel Is loaded hero with a cargo
of barley. That cleans up tho crop of
last season nnd whatover remains will
be sold off In small lots. Quotntious
nre very diflkult to secure, but buy
ers are willing to buy at $2o per (on
for feed.
San Francisco Markets.
San Francisco. Juno IS. Tho spot
wheat market Is without chnngo from
the previous reports furnished us.
and more interest now centers In the
grain fields ns harvesting progresses
It is doubtful whether the crop will
exceed 550,000 tons. The failure of a
prominent shipping firm cnused some
excitement at tho time, but tho same
waB only momentary. .Millers at
present nio tho only buyers of wheat,
as tery little remains In the hands of
farmers. Quotations lor shipping
range from 1.33, to $1.37 per cen
tal, milling trom $1.40 to $1.50.
Barley Market Is quiet and thorn
is hardly anything doing, ns dealers
nro waiting the ndvent of tho now
crop. The barley crop is thought lo
bo a record-breaker, and there Is no
doubt that tho crop will be very Inrge
Quotations for feed are from $1.10 lo
$1.11 for old and for now $1.07 to
$1.0S?4 per cental; brewing, $1.15 per
cental.
Oats The market Is steady but
very little offering and prices nro for
whites $1.20, rods, $1.15 per cental.
