The Wheat Trade. Portland, May 28. There has been very little wheat disposed of during the past week. Stocks In the country in first hands were very small, nnd whatever remains are only small par cels. A few unimportant sales have been made during the week, In small lots only. There Is some demand for wheat for the U. K, and a couple of ships havo been taken for that des tination during the week. Wheat 1h here for the same, and a few ships havo been reported fixed from Taco nia to the samo point. Thero is plen ty of wheat at that ixalut as well. Club Is quoted at 71c; blue stem, 74e. Hour There has been no now de velopments in tlie Hour market of the world during the past week. Mil lers say the situation is unchanged und what lew offerB that aru receiv ed are below tho price that they havo fixed on their output. Quotations range from $3.75 to $4.25 per barrel. San Francisco Markets. San Francisco, May 28. Tho wheat market is dull and very little busi ness Is passing, as stocks are ex ceedingly low and there is no doubt that a large amount of wheat will have to be imported here and throughout the state to keep the mills In operation to supply tho homo con sumption, or close the mills down and secure largo stocks of Hour. Crop conditions are not very flattering at tne prebent tlmo and .t is doubtful if tho crop will be as large as that of last season. Heivorts from a great many sections of the statu nro that the crops lack moisture and that the samo will bo a failure. Quotations for shipping wheat range from $1.32 to $1.37 and milling $1.40 to $1.50 per cental. Walla Walla, May 28 Cold, show ery weather liaH prevailed In the Walla Walla valley for several days, and wheat raisers are qulto discon tented with conditions. Showers comu almost dally. Tho rain Is cer tainly welcomo, but tho prolonged chilly atmosphere Is retarding wheat and making tho already late devel opment still later. Wheat is now a good month behind. Boston Wool Market, Boston, May 28. Tho wool market was very quiet this week, and, ex cepting a series of transactions with the mills, not much business wuh transacted.
