CHICAGO MAN AFTER CATTLE. Finds a Dead Market Here Claims Wool Is Held Too High. John Fleming, thu Chicago stock buyer, left HiIh morning for HlmnlWi, where ho hopes to find somo market cattle. A few catllo have been ship ped out from Echo and boiiio of the surrounding towns In thu lust week or so, but this Pendleton market Is dead, the home demand practically using all the stock. Mr. Fleming Is of the opinion that the wool market will be dull, us there Is no great Kastern demand ut tho prices demanded by tho holderH, There have been offers of 13 cents for one clip which was refused, and from there the ISastern schedule grades to 9 or 814 cents. This price the growers refuse to tuko nt the present time. Whether or not the sales will be large here on the 29th remains with tho will of the growers and their anxiety to dispose of their clip.
