Posters are out announcing that Herman Metzger, who has the con tract of supplying the government with cavalry horses, together with the examining board, will lie at tills place on May 2G. for the purposo of pur chasing such animals as are found to meet the requirements. This will ovldently bring a great many persons hero, as there are still quite a number of such animals in this vicinity and thoy are said to he in good condition. 55.
