Medford, Ore., April I'S. The con
census of reports of the fruit men In
this section regarding the fruit pros
pects for this year Is that there Is
every certainty of the usual largo
crop for which the Hoguo Itlver val
ley Is celebrated. The apples aro now
well In bloom, some varieties being
fully set, as also Is the case with the
pears. The prune crop is exceedingly
promising, of which there Is a largo
area grown In this valley.
Cherries, peaches and apricots were
damaged somewhat by thq freezo of
a few days ago. but the yield will be
fully two-thirds of a crop. Sonic of
the crops have not been injured at
an ljy the frost. The almond orchards
of which there nre several large ones
in this section, fared about like the
cherries and peaches, two-thirds of a
crop.
The vineyards of this valley aro all
in a very promising condition and Die purpose being to unite In one
with the vines that are just coming compact organization all of the physl
into beating will give, the largest j clans or tlio state and to form a closer
yield of grapes this season, ever union with similar associations In
