right arm very badly, it is thought

ing up soon. Mr. Otitis has a force
of men employed putting up fence
and making other Improvements about
the place. He lms purchased several
head of cattle which he will bring up
in a few days.
Clarence Iloss has gone down to
herd sheep for M Goodman, near
Vansyclo until about the 16th of .May,
when they will take them to the moun
tains for the summer. Mr. Hoss nml
his son, Earnest, intend herding tor
Mr. Goodman during the season.
Willie l.ehtl went to the valloy to
day to ho gone for a few days on bus

from Salem last week, where he lias

George Payne returned from Crook
county yesterday. He is not very well
