Cluba, has been Invited to address
the mooting of the Idaho clubs, to be
held at Nampa, In the early fall, on
the subject of the Lewis and Clark
fair, and especially on woman's work
on the plans of the exposition.
Mrs. Wade will consent to go and
her address will be one of the num
bers on the regular program of the

Will Locate Here.
Air. and Mrs. O. F. Spran, who have
recently come from Michigan, are in
town with the expectation of locating
here. They recently came from
Michigan to Prinevllle to take up a
timber claim. A great many of their
friends who come a little later and
filed before A. C. Palmer, the land
commissioner at bend, lost their
rights, as Palmer's .commission had
expired. Some of them who lost
their rights, returned from Michigan
and re filed, while others did not feel
like Incurring the expense of a sec
ond trip.

Savings Bank Stock Increased.
Supplementary articles of Incorpor
ation were filed yesterday by W. J.
Furnish, Charles H. Carter, It. Alex
ander and E. P. Marshall for the Pen
delton Savings Uank. This was made
necessary by the recent action of the
board of stockholders in voting to in
crease the capital stock of the bank
from ?DO,000 to $100,000.
Satisfied With Umatilla .
J. W. Stockman and J. L. Stock
man, the Helix ranchers, lately re
turned from a trip to l.os Angeles,
where they lived several years, com
ing to Umatilla county from there 2G
years ago. After looking over that
country on this trip, they are more
than ever satisfied because of coming
to this county.
$5,000 Water Bonds.
The city of Adams, Oregon, will
receive bids tor the purchase of $D,000
water bonds. Bald bonds to run 20
years, with a 10-year option. The
city reserves the right to reject any
and all bids.
