Thin Air Boom. O. D. Teel, the alfalfa man of Echo, is in the city. Mr. Teel has great expectations concerning the influence of the irrigation projects upon the de velopment of that district, but is of the. opinion that "the boom is builded upon thin air largely, and that the safest plan for investors is to keep a level head, with all that that advice implies. Notice of Dissolution. Notice is hereby given that the firm of Murphy & Langever, composed of Ed Murphy and Fred Langever, pro prietors of the Union Saloon, on Court street, has been dissolved, Ed Mur phy succeeding the firm. The Maccabee brethren and sisters by and with the connivance of Mrs. Kees, gave J. S. Kees a surprise party at his home on the north side last Friday night. Mrs. Kees had re freshments prepared and the evening was greatly enjoyed by the large party which attended. Here From Ohio. G. V. Trottman has arrived from Southern Ohio, with the intention of making his home here. Palmer, of Cabbage Hill, was In town Saturday, Mr. Palmer re ports that many of the cattle in that part of the county are afflicted with an ailment resembling distemper, though it is not believed to actually bo that disease.
