San Francisco, March 12.- There .'s nothing doing in the wliea. market here for California wheat. Duyers have gone to new fields for wheat, and there is no doubt that they have bought heavy in .the northern mar kets, as recent receipts bIiow this very clearly. Holders have not chang ed their ideas as to the value of their product and are holding for higher prices. A great many doubt if there is much wheat left, and that export ers are well aware of this and are buying in Oregon and Washington markets and the only buyers of home grown grain are millers. About 1,000 tons of wheat have come down by rail recently to be distributed to some of the leading mills throughout the state. China is a land without mat li eases or counterpanes. A bed, or kong, is merely a broad wall of brick built across the side of a room. On first acquaintances it seems absolutely lm possible for an Anglo-Saxon, but 0 man In the. interior of China must eitner sleep on 0 kong or not sleep at bji, says a writer In Outing.
