Nell, of Camas Prairie, nar rates that Wednesday of last week a man, whose name he did not learn, met with a peculiar accident near his place and about a mile and n half north of Camas Prairie. The stranger had a load of mixed freight drawn by four horses. While on a down grade at the point men tioned the tongue of the wagon broke and horses, wagon and freight and driver went over ihe grade together. The driver was pinned down by a large quantity of the freight piling upon him and lay helpless for an hour, or until dlscoveied by uasHors- by, who extricated him. The horses were so badly tangled up in the har ness and with themselves that they too, were helpless. The driver was so little Injured that he helped to get the outfit in travel ing shape and drove oft across uamas Prairie a few hours after the acci dent took place. It is said that the wacon turned over twice before It leached the bottom of the grade, drag' cine the horses with It.
