the list of prospective competitors ns

sociation tournaments. Tho list shows
that representative teams will com
pete from Now York, Chicago, Buffa
lo, Cincinnati, Minneapolis, Milwau
kee, Indianapolis, Toledo and numer
ous othor leading cities of the coun
try. In tho live-men teams nnd Indi
viduals there will be representatives
from nearly all the Western and
Southern stntes. Workmen will com

hall In shapo for tho tournament. The
construction of 10 alleys was origin
ally contemplated, but it now appears
probable that an even dozen will bo
required to accommodate the largo

country in Grant county, but was so
well pleased with the appearance of
this locality, that he abandoned his
trip into John Day and has loca'ted
